Its time for another installment of "Don't Sleep On That!" For the past few weeks I've been running into a lot of gospel records, a genre easily to be slept on. I mean you look at the cover and you see a bunch of people cheesing on the front steps of some cathedral. So you say, what could possibly be on this? Well, where a lot of the gospel records aren't gonna have anything of too much value (music wise) you can find some pretty interesting stuff on these records. Of course, you'll have to sit down and listen through em (obviously) to find the real gems.
Keep in mind, I usually dig only for bboy breaks, other people (like producers) can find lots of different sounds (dope heavy organs!), singing and sound bytes off records like these, so there is definitely a lot of potential in these records, yet people keep on sleeping on em! Here's a record that has a pretty hard break with a lot of dope elements to it. Keep diggin!
